Chelsea

Jared Dobbins, PT, DPT
Chief Operating Officer

Jared received his undergraduate degree in Business from Mercer University in Macon, GA in 2008 and graduated with his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of North Ga. in 2013. He worked for the next year and a half in Macon, Ga. at an outpatient orthopedic clinic with a focus on manual therapy treatments. Jared and his wife moved to Birmingham in January 2015. He enjoys interacting with patients and improving their pain and function with a variety of strengthening treatments and specialized manual therapy treatments. Jared and his wife are active members of their church and enjoy serving and blessing the lives of others.

Halley Power, PTA

Halley grew up in Valley, Alabama and attended Auburn University from 2004-2009, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. After working for two years in the therapy environment as an office manager and rehab tech, she returned to school to become a physical therapist assistant. She graduated cum laude in May 2015 from Jefferson State. Her special interests include orthopedics, sports medicine, and geriatric wellness. She has two children (of furry feline nature) named Ellie and Dillon.

Homewood

Christy Mann OTR/L, CHT
Occupational Therapist
CHT Rehab Director

Christy graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Health-Related Professions. She also is a board-certified hand therapist who specializes in injuries and dysfunctions of the entire upper extremity. Christy co-founded Over the Mountain Rehab in April 2003 at the request of several area orthopedic surgeons. She has over two decades of experience working with upper extremity injuries, including traumatic hand injuries, custom splinting, occupational injuries and pediatrics. Christy has been trained in the management of lymphedema. Christy is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Alabama Occupational Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapists.

Lisa Ruttenberg-Bor, PT, OCS
Physical Therapist
Clinic Director

Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University . There she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and was the recipient of the Physical Therapy Award for Clinical Excellence. Lisa worked at St. Vincent 's Hospital for thirteen years where she was outpatient therapy supervisor and implemented the lymphedema management program. With over a decade of experience in orthopedics, aquatics, geriatrics and lymphedema treatments, Lisa co-founded Over the Mountain Rehab in April, 2003. In 2011, she earned her certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Alabama Chapter of Physical Therapy, and belongs to both the orthopedic and private practice sections.

Stephanie Brownlee, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant

Stephanie graduated cum laude in 2000 from Wallace State Community College with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science as a physical therapist assistant and an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in sports medicine. Stephanie worked at Brookwood Medical Center in the outpatient rehab department for six years with specialty in aquatics. In 2006, Stephanie joined the team with special interests in orthopedics, lymphedema and TMJ disorders.

Amanda (Mandy) Cole, MS, OTR/L CHT
Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist

Mandy graduated Cum Laude in 1998 from The University of Alabama with her Bachelors in Biology with emphasis on Pre-Medical Studies. Mandy furthered her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham graduating in 2000 with a Bachelors and Masters in Occupational Therapy. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from UAB in her bachelor studies. She has been practicing in the field of outpatient upper extremity since her graduation. In 2011, Mandy received her board certification in upper extremity and hand therapy. She is specialized in management of traumatic injuries of the hand, custom splinting, and cumulative trauma of the hand, wrist and elbow.

Mandy was born and raised in Alabama. She has been happily married to her husband Jeremy Cole since 2000 and they have one son, Walker, who was born in 2007. Mandy enjoys spending time with her family, all University of Alabama athletics, photography, traveling, and sewing.

Deidra Davies, PT, DPT

Deidra graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University in 2008 with her Bachelors in Psychology. She then worked for several years in Mental Health before furthering her education at the University of Florida graduating in 2014 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Deidra joined our team in Homewood with a special interest in orthopedics and neurologic disorders. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and belongs to both the orthopedic and neurologic practice sections. Deidra and her husband Josh live in Trussville.

Allison Jennings Traywick, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

Allison joined our staff in June 2015 at our Homewood and Pelham locations. Allison is originally from Enterprise, AL. She attended Auburn University and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (2009) and a master’s degree in Biomechanics (2011). Allison has also earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University and was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (2015). Allison is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Foundation, Phi Theta Epsilon, and the Alabama Occupational Therapy Association. Allison has joined the team with special interests in orthopedics, and injuries of the hand and upper extremity.

Meredith Luckett, PT, DPT

Meredith is from the state of fast horses and good bourbon. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Louisville in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. She furthered her education at Bellarmine University (also located in Louisville, Ky) and graduated in May of 2015 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Meredith enjoys working with all patient types but has special interest in orthopedics and spine. She lives in the Crestwood North neighborhood of Birmingham with her husband Tyler and dog Greta.

Moody

Megan Butler, DPT
Clinic Director

Megan was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She graduated from The University of Alabama magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies. Megan received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in December of 2013. Megan enjoys working with a variety of patient populations, and in particular with geriatric patients.

She currently resides in Moody with her husband (David), dog (Luke), and cat (Javy- named after Javier Arenas).

Kyle Moore, PTA

I am originally from and currently live in Chelsea and joined Accelability in July 2015. I graduated from Jefferson State Community College in May 2015 with an Associate in Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I have had clinical experience in a few different outpatient clinics, inpatient, skilled nursing, and acute care. I enjoy the diversity of the patient population and cases in outpatient and l look forward to helping patients while continuing to grow as a therapist!

I am also a drug-free physique/strength athlete and enjoy combining my knowledge of physical therapy with weightlifting. I am a natural pro bodybuilder with the NGA (National Gym Association), and I look forward to continue to grow and improve as an athlete as well!

Eddie Adams, P.T.
Trussville Clinic Director / Director of Industrial Rehab

Eddie was born and grew up in Pinson,Alabama. He graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1998 with a bachelor of science in Physical Therapy. Eddie has worked in the outpatient setting for several years and rejoined the company in 2015. His career has focused on orthopedic/sports medicine rehab, spine/neuro rehab, and industrial rehab including FCE's and Impairment Ratings.

Eddie has a beautiful wife, Dedra, and three awesome sons, Noah - Caleb - and Levi. They enjoy spending time together in God's great outdoors on their family farm. They also enjoy attending church together at Faith Community Fellowship in Trussville, Al. Eddie also enjoys going on mission trips, preaching/teaching God's Word, fishing, and hunting.

Emmett Parker, PT, MS, ATC
Owner

Emmett formed AccelAbility Physical Therapy, Inc. in December of 2003 and served as President since that time. His vision for AccelAbility Physical Therapy, Inc. was the establishment of a company committed to providing excellent outpatient physical therapy services in state of the art clinics. Emmett has been practicing physical therapy for 18 years and has spent the last 13 and a half years in private practice. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1990 with a BS degree in Sports Medicine. After working a couple of years as an Athletic Trainer he enrolled in Physical Therapy school at UAB where received a MS degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. His specialties include orthopedic, sports medicine and spine rehabilitation. He is board certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and is licensed to practice Athletic Training and Physical Therapy in the State of Alabama. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Emmett has lived in Alabama his entire life and served honorably in the United States Navy Reserve from 1987-1995.
